Winter Activities

It’s the winter activities that attract the greatest number of visitors to Mt Buller, with plenty to do for young and old and beginners and the experienced. Conditions are ideal for snowboarding, skiing, snow tubing, tobogganing, night skiing or simply building a snow man. Ski hire is available on site or at the nearby town of Mansfield.

For Kids

Kids are well catered for at Mt Buller and will have a great time day or night with the choice of activities available.

Mt Buller Ski school - Mt Buller has an excellent snowboard and ski learning program for kids. Buller Kids is for 6 – 14 years old. Choose the half day, full day or 5 day program. Explore the mountain, learn to ski, enjoy snack and even race. Bunyips is for 3 – 6 year old children where they can learn skiing fundamentals in a purpose built beginner area.

Mt Buller Kids Night Out – in the evening kids can play games and hang out in the Ski & Snowboard School with their instructors while their parents are out enjoying a romantic dinner.

Summer Activities

Once the snow disappears, Mt Buller offers spectacular scenery and a long list of summer activities to indulge in. For an easy going day try fishing, a leisurely bushwalk or perhaps ride the chairlifts (which remain operational during summer) and enjoy the view. There is horse riding and mountain biking opportunities available while the little more adventurous may want take on Mt Buller rock climbing or admire the view from a hot air balloon. Between activities, why not visit the National Alpine Museum.

Situated in the heart of the action is the Mt Buller Alpine Village offering the full gamut of accommodation options. From luxury hotels and private ski lodges to modern apartments and family sized rooms. If looking to stay off the mountain, there is good accommodation in Mansfield to choose from.
